A Culinary Trip to China

Who would have known that something as looked-down-upon as turnip can be a definite delicacy? With Royal China’s delicious vegetarian starters one must think twice before underestimating vegetables. Even the blandest of raw materials seem to undergo a transformation through the hands of the chefs here at Royal China. Entering the restaurant, one would feel the aura of the place as the friendly hosts come up to you to hear your request dishes.

The best way to start your lunch would be with a drink; here one can opt for wine, champagne, vodka, cocktails and mocktails among several others. One might as well decide to begin with a soup. Moving on, the wide array of appetisers and Dim Sums might baffle you, but you may pick any without fearing the consequences.

Being a meat lover, my friend and I were waiting eagerly for the Chicken Chili Oil Spring Onion to come along with the turnip dish. Both the starters stirred up the gourmets in us and with twinkling eyes we waited for some upcoming lip smacking dishes. Post our appetizer, we planned on trying the Sliced Fish which instantly won our hearts with its soothing salty and tangy flavours. Along came in an awesomely presentable chicken dish with fire skirting on the platter- Flaming Chicken in Superior Sauce. To accompany our fish and chicken we ordered steamed rice and Veg Fried Soya Noodle Hong. One can enjoy the flavours of the fish only with steamed rice, while the soya noodle complemented the tasty flaming chicken perfectly.

A meal remains incomplete and unsatisfactory without a nice dessert, and being a sweet tooth I could not resist myself from the very tempting Crème Brulee and Chocolate Mud Cake. With the right consistency of the custard and the crisp caramel topping, the Crème Brulee will sooth your mouth instantly. It is also the best dessert for people with sensitivity issues since it is a dessert you get at room temperature.

It is needless to speak of the heavenly feel one gets from a mouthful of a Chocolate Mud Cake accompanied with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. Not only is the food going to call you back to the restaurant every time you think of Chinese food, but also the ambience and the decoration. They also have menus for children, kitty parties and other special occasions.
